... if Dooced is getting fired for blogging about your job...what is the equivalent for getting called into the Bishop's office, on your wedding anniversary, for tweeting 140 characters?

Maybe I should give a prize out to someone who comes up with the best label.

Is your mind reeling. Perhaps baffled? Mine is. Mostly it's also flummoxed. I like that word... it's fun to say.

Apparently some (I am told it is more than one) people in my ward are offended by my tweets and have ANONYMOUSLY told the Bishop - who asked me to the future, censor myself and instead go speak to him when I'm frustrated.

Does anyone else think our busy Bishop has better things to do?

and Dang... if I really did that... they'd have to dedicate a Bishop just for me. I am female. I have hormones... just ask my hubby.

So here I am... unable to face my accusers... or offendees because it's "confidential".

Well... I've got a tagline for 2011... check it.

Dude... seriously, if you do not like me or what I say/tweet & have the courage to talk behind my back, in presumably a group setting as there were "more than one", but not to me's a tip. How about you just stop cyber-stalking me? Just a helpful thought. Merci!

I wonder how beat down this Bishop feels that he had to give in to *them*. I mean, my Bishop would've addressed this in a meeting of some sort; addressed the Relief Society about the importance of freedom of speech, and not talking behind another sister's back...etc.

I am so sorry that you have to go through this. But good for you, for taking a stand and speaking up for what you believe in. :)

Scarlettexed? Scarvetoed? Dunno. I'll keep working on it. ;-)

Stepper the Mighty said...'re scandalous? How did I miss this? Now I must delve into your tweety archives.

And also - just me, but if you're offended by reading something someone wrote on tweet/fb/blog, you could, like, you know - STOP reading it. Another thought.

You must be blessed to live in a ward with no actual problems! My bishop is really busy with welfare, repentance, and baptisms. I don't think he has time to play Twitter-referee. You guys must feel so lucky to be so close to being translated!

I love La Yen's response. Truly.

Translation... right around your corner. :)

I love laughing about this... because honestly... what else can you do???

Thanks for laughing along with me. ;-)

Oh my heck! (Ok, that was the part-time Utah coming out)....back to real words.

Are you serious? Are you kidding me? The bishop called you in about your tweets? First grade much?

And this is why I am not facebook friends, twitter friends, blog friends with ward members. We are a bunch of rats trying to get off the sinking ship. I need my space on line.

Still....are you serious? I'd say, step it up and see what happens, but then again, that's not WWJD.....

Seriously people!
