I watched the Nightline interview with Dooce. She talked a little about the multitude of angry emails/comments she's received over the years.
Frankly, I don't understand people who would send angry/hateful comments about someone's blog or ... what-have-you. It's baffling.
If you don't like what someone is blogging about - stop reading. It says volumes about the angry, hateful commenter. Clearly that person has some massive issues, mentally or ...well, mentally.
And... if you do disagree with some blogger, and you want to have a reasonable discussion - acting like a lunatic probably isn't the best way to approach it. That goes for in real life too. It's amazing how many crazies have not been weeded out via evolution... or maybe evolution is just bunk?
Back to Nightline - I didn't like how they focused on quoting "motherhood is awful". That's not the vibe I got from reading. I've been reading since '04. I always find it witty, well written and entertaining. I find it a fun little romp on the Internet. Maybe it's me... but people need to quit with the literal interpretation of every little thing and laugh more. If they don't laugh more I will send an angry email or two.

I think that the motherhood is awful is just a popular media backlash right now--just look at the stuff they have programmed for the new seasons. The 80's are coming back full-force, as far as the women-stereotypes, it seems. (Not that I mind a ton, because I LOVE Dallas & Dynasty.) So they have to play that up.
I just can't stand it when someone leaves the Church and then becomes outspoken about leaving the Church and gets attention. It rankles me. And that is my only issue with Dooce. Which is a retarded issue, I know, but there it is.
That does bug me every now and then. Some stuff doesn't bug me as much because it makes me laugh. Yes, my soul is going to hell... but I'll be laughing.
I just don't understand people... who want to have a pissing match with someone who blogs. It is non-specific...it just is in general. Folks who send angry/misspelled, off-topic, personal attack letters/emails... like the ones that go to Eric Snider too and anyone for that matter... I swear people like that are mental.
