"You're on your own. And you know what you know and YOU are the guy who'll decide where to go...I'm afraid that some times you'll play lonely games too. Games you can't win 'cause you'll play against you. All Alone! Whether you'll like it or not, alone will be something you'll be quite a lot...But on you will go though the Hakken-Kraks howl...and will you succeed? Yes! You will, indeed! Jeff Shaara. my all time favorite. Historical fiction... BUT, he takes the actual evens and with a whole bunch of facts makes history amazing.
james Rollings- takes science and makes a huge adventure. Many times over
Clive Cussler- Ditto to the above, no cussing or dirty stuff. Each book a good one.
that's it for now. I could go on and on. :-D
Tender at the Bone by Ruth Reichl... she's a NY Times food critic and it's her story about how she grew up with food. Pretty much my favorite book.
I just read Funny in Farsi and loved it. I can't wait to get my hands on the one Lucky recommended. I'm salivating already.
